Geophysicists (Research) are required to perform innovative site investigation/ exploration, analyse data and produce reports for clients and consultancies for marine and land infrastructure projects. Strong interests in researching new geophysics method for advance applications in energy and construction sectors are required. Your works will be offshore and onshore.

Requirements:

• Master/ Undergraduate degree in geophysics, construction/ engineering/ earth science;

• Able to communicate in Putonghua/ Cantonese/ English;

• Hard working and enjoy working on outdoor environment;

• Research ability and innovative thinking are necessary;

• Knowledge on underwater sounding technologies, magnetic exploration and Microtremor Survey is preferred

• Enjoy working in small team and contribute to team research.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out tasks independently, manage a section of the research works and be able to complete the targets within agreed time frame;

• Pre-work planning and deciding on innovative geophysics applications before going on site;

• Use equipment and deploy on field for data collection for analysis;

• Data processing, interpret and map 2D/ 3D data for research analysis;

• Report research to the team, senior managers and clients/ consultants at meetings and presentations;

• Design, test, modify and calibrate equipment;

• Keep abreast of new and emerging technologies;

• Improve existing techniques in data acquisition and mathematical processing and be innovative on new techniques and methods;

• Work closely with a small team of colleagues on site;

• Work within budget, resource and time constraints.
